Alfie Kohn: The Case Against Tougher Standards

Alfie Kohn believes that  the push toward more measurement and accountability in the classroom can come at a steep cost.

Alfie is the author of more than 13 books including Punished by Rewards and No Contest: The Case Against Competition. His School Discipline Conference Las Vegas keynote presentation is entitled Beyond Bribes and Threats: Moving from Control to Community. He will join other nationally known keynoters and breakout presenters who have developed promising approaches and programs in the incubator of day-to-day school life.
