2016gbc800A recent CDC publication explored the relationship between bullying and suicide.  A few of the observations include:

  • Youth who feel connected to their school are less likely to engage in suicide-related behaviors.
  • Youth who are able to cope with problems in healthy ways are less likely to engage in suicide and bullying.
  • Bully-victims (youth who report both being bullied and bullying others) have the highest rates of negative mental health outcomes, including depression, anxiety, suicide ideation.
