Rechtschaffen – Mindfulness and Neuroplasticity

Posted on

#TrendingSC Forum Keynote Speaker Daniel Rechtschaffen says there is abasic neuroscience concept, nerve cells that fire together, wire together. Recent findings on neural plasticity, show that our brains can generate stronger and healthier neural connections based on our mental habits. Mindfulness trains our brains to respond in ways we choose instead of always in a default manner, which often is a knee-jerk reptilian reaction.”

Watch Daniel Rechtschaffen underline the importance of teaching students how to focus.

A therapist and author of The Way of Mindful Education, Daniel Rechtschaffen will present a keynote session on mindfulness and its application in education at the Innovative Schools Summit Orlando.  He will also present a breakout session entitled The Five Mindful Literacies.
